This site is a tribute to Alan Gee. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
Alan Leslie Thomas Gee was born on 16th December 1944 in Birmingham, England, and was the eldest son of Albert & Emily ‘Gwen’ Gee. On 24th September 1966 he married Linda and eventually they settled in a new home in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
Alan lived a full and active life with many interests and hobbies over the years, and in later life rediscovered his passion for motorcycles. While in retirement he was actively involved in his local Food Bank, helping 100’s who faced hardship in his local community.
Sadly in 2017 Alan was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, and increasingly became less mobile as time went on. In recent months he continued to experience various complications, which resulted in a number of hospital admissions. On 18th January 2021 Alan passed away in hospital with his family around him.
He leaves behind his wife Linda and their three sons and daughter-in-laws, David & Amanda, Robert & Angela and Stephen & Tammy, as well as their 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger brother David Gee.
While his funeral will be limited in number due to Covid-19, the family plan to celebrate Alan’s life with extended family and friends later in the year, when national restrictions are lifted. If you would like to make a donation in honour of Alan’s memory, then the family would like to support Parkinson’s Care and Support UK, a charity helping many who valiantly live with this horrible debilitating disease.
